An Irish EuroMillions player scooped the first jackpot of 2017, banking €88.5 million in the draw on Tuesday 25th January. The lucky ticket holder became the tenth Irish participant to match all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars in the pan-European lottery since the country joined in October 2004.
