The UK National Lottery is celebrating a landmark achievement this week after raising an impressive £1 billion for a variety of good causes across Northern Ireland. Since the Good Causes Fund was first established in 1994 to coincide with the launch of the National Lottery’s instant and draw-based lottery games, a total of more than £31 billion has been raised for charitable organisations throughout the United Kingdom. Officials revealed yesterday that funding specifically allocated to Northern Ireland had finally broken the ten figure mark.
