A couple from the Scottish Borders who won half of the £66 million Lotto jackpot on Saturday 9 January will be going public about their win later today. The organisers of the National Lottery said that the couple’s claim had been verified, and that the winners intend to speak about their £33,035,323 success at a press conference to be held in Edinburgh. The owner of the other winning ticket from Saturday has not yet come forward to claim their share of the record-breaking jackpot, and they have until Thursday 7 July to do so.
