As of Tuesday 17th June, EuroMillions has a new record jackpot winner! One EuroMillions player has successfully matched all five numbers and both the Lucky Stars to land a prize worth £213 million (€250 million). The winning ticket wasn’t sold in the UK, but in Ireland. The draw on Tuesday 17/06 was the second time ever that the EuroMillions jackpot has reached the €250 million limit. Following on from a string of 19 draws with no jackpot winner, the top prize grew by around £12 million per draw until it hit the cap. This is distinct from the first time the cap was reached back in March, since the March jackpot was boosted straight to £110 million by a Super Draw event. On that occasion, the €250 million jackpot – won in Austria – was worth £209.3 million.
