North Carolina House Votes Down Lottery Confidentiality Bill

A bill that would have given North Carolina lottery winners the option to remain anonymous has been struck down in a House judiciary committee. Sponsored by Representative Darren Jackson, the measure failed by a voice vote. An amendment that would have kept the names of winners private for 90 days also failed by a 5-6 show of hands.
