Following a last minute surge in ticket sales, the Mega Millions jackpot has now been increased to US$586 million in time for tonight’s draw. The jackpot is currently the second largest in game’s 17-year history but, with lottery officials predicting that the jackpot could break the world record of $656 million if high ticket sales continue, tonight’s draw could set a new world record.
