Sold at Carey’s Newsagent on Main Street in Belmullet, Co Mayo, the ticket landed one fortuitous lottery fan a top prize worth €1 million. The family, who operate businesses in Mayo, Galway and Dublin, have now sold tickets worth over €30 million, including a playslip worth an incredible €13.8 million in 2016, the eighth largest prize in Irish Lotto history, and a €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize winner in 2015. The Belmullet store alone is rapidly becoming a real big hitter when it comes to players scooping huge windfalls, selling five top prize-winning tickets in various National Lottery games.
