Irish Lottery fans were unable to buy tickets for almost two hours on Wednesday after the network was subjected to a cyber attack. With customers keen to snap up tickets for that night’s Irish Lotto draw, advertised as offering a €12 million estimated jackpot, the lottery’s website and ticket networked were out of action due to what is suspected to have been a coordinated overloading of traffic on the system.
