A single ticket that had been sold in Portugal matched all seven numbers in the EuroMillions game last Friday to take down a jackpot worth €59,687,034, which would have been worth £46,514,105 had a UK player achieved the feat. Portugal has now had 59 jackpot winners from a total of 335 that have been created since the game began in 2004, and that gives the country an impressive strike rate of 17.6%. Only Spain and France have fared better, with 77 and 79 jackpot winners, respectively.
