The Big Lottery Fund (BIG) has received an initial refund of £60 million from the Olympic Lottery Distribution Fund (OLDF) after renewed pressure from the Big Lottery Refund campaign. The campaign is supported by over 3,400 organisations, many of which would have directly benefited from the £425 million that the government appropriated from BIG in order to fund the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Other lottery distributors contributed an additional £250 million, bringing the total amount owed to £675 million.
