A EuroMillions jackpot worth £39.9 million was won by a single player last night, as over 1.3 million participants landed prizes on another exciting night. The jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Austria. The numbers drawn on Tuesday 8th May were 17, 25, 35, 39 and 44, with Lucky Stars 2 and 5. As Austria celebrated its 15th EuroMillions jackpot winner, UK players also enjoyed some stunning success. One ticket holder matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win a mammoth £541,468, while the other prizes given away ranged from £3.20 for matching two main numbers to £18,016 for matching five main numbers. The codes HLFV95896 and XDCQ90512 were drawn in the Millionaire Maker, instantly netting the two players with matching tickets £1 million each. The EuroMillions jackpot had previously been won on Tuesday 24th April, when a single participant pocketed £121 million to become the UK’s third-largest lottery winner. They quickly came forward to claim their money, but decided to remain anonymous. The top prize has now been won six times in 2018, including the £155.5 million draw on Friday 23rd February when a UK winner shared the jackpot with someone from Spain. The jackpot will reset to £14 million for the next draw on Friday.
