A shop owner in Perth, Australia helped a syndicate of ten strangers scoop an Oz Lotto First Division prize of AU$30 million - all by picking numbers that hadn’t been drawn in a while. Soon-Chiang Yong, who runs the Lucky Lottery Centre in Boorogoon, filled out the ticket for the group after carefully considering what numbers to choose for their entry. As it turns out, the System 12 ticket they purchased from Mr. Yong at a rate of AU$95 per person netted each syndicate member AU$3 million.
