The UK’s National Lottery and commercial broadcaster ITV have teamed up to allow the public to vote on how £3 million from the Big Lottery Fund is distributed. Now in its 11th year, The People’s Projects contest has so far shared £33 million between 675 good causes and this year’s shortlist contains a further 95 projects, each hoping to receive up to £50,000 in grants. The runners-up in each region will receive up to £5,000.
